Every year, thousands of supporters across the UK take part in Mental Health Awareness Week. This year the week will take place from 8-14 May on the theme of surviving or thriving?
Good mental health is more than the absence of a mental health problem. This year’s Mental Health Awareness Week will look at mental health from a new angle. Rather than ask why so many people are living with mental health problems, the Mental Health Foundation will seek to uncover why too few of us are thriving with good mental health.
During the week you have the opportunity to discover more about mental health; find out what you can do to build mental resilience; explore how to reduce stress; and experience how laughter yoga can improve your wellbeing. The programme of events across the University campus includes:

- Tues 9th May – Walk and Talk, Outside the Swan 12.10 – 12.55
- Wed 10th May – Mental Health Awareness Stand, Atrium, Minerva Building, 10:00 – 14:00
- Thur 11th May – Meditation for All, SLB2005, Stephen Langton Building, 12:00-12:45
