UFHS launch: Family History and Historians | 21st Jun

The Lincoln University Family History Society are delighted to announce a formal launch event, to take place on Wednesday 21st June, from 4.00pm to 5.00pm in UL111.

At the event, Dr Ian Packer, whose appearance on ‘Who Do You Think You Are?’, available to view on Box of Broadcasts, will discuss the importance of family history to historians and the different ways in which they have used genealogical research and investigations of family structure to understand the past.

Dr Packer’s talk, entitled ‘Family History and Historians’, will be followed by a question and answer session. Also available at the event will be resources on family history, and a chance to offer feedback on the draft programme of UFHS events for the next academic year.
