EMDoc Conference: Registration Open!

Calling all doctoral students

We would like to invite you to attend the 2018 East Midlands Doctoral Network (EMDoc) Postgraduate Research Conference at Bishop Grosseteste University, Lincoln on Wednesday 19th September 2018.

EMDoc consists of nine universities who are keen to work collaboratively to share best practice, resources and insights into doctoral research across all disciplines.

The theme for the 2018 conference is ‘Impact and Exchange – making connections beyond the academy’, a chance to reflect on how your research can lead to wider impact and opportunities for knowledge exchange beyond the university. All research has the potential to create applications and impact beyond the immediate context in which it is developed, a feature which is becoming an increasingly central aspect of all research activity. Impact and exchange potential within a research project can be planned from the beginning of the process or can emerge in unexpected places as you develop your thinking.
You can consider this theme within your work by reflecting on the potential for knowledge exchange, the nature of potential impacts, or a discussion of the stakeholders and/or policymakers you hope your research will reach and influence at any scale from the individual, through organisational level to national and international.

This supportive and formative conference will be hosted at Bishop Grosseteste University, Lincoln and is a great opportunity for you to discuss and promote your research as well as meet and network with other doctoral students from across the East Midlands.

Please note the University of Lincoln Doctoral School will provide free travel for all students who attend. Please click below to book your place.
